Sara Winter

After several years of tasting different degrees (Physics and Astronomy at the University of Amsterdam, Architecture at the Delft University of Technology and Communication & Multimedia Design at The Hague University), Sara decided in 2007 that photography is the direction which is most rewarding to her. Resulting in a final degree switch to Photographic Design at the School of Photography in Amsterdam. In July 2009 Sara graduated with honours.

 

Photographers’ statement

"Fascinated by geophysical and cultural aspects that formed our landscapes, with my photography I try to inspire people to recognise and respect the world around us. The world close to home in The Netherlands, but also thousands of miles away.
Photography for me is a way to communicate the moments I was blown away by the sight of an unmatched landscape. I strive to capture that feeling of being overwhelmed in my photographs."
