Karijini National Park is located in the heart of the large and empty Pilbara. A region rich in minerals and especially known for iron ore. Colossal iron mines are scattered over the country and dominate the economy of the Pilbara.
Karijini is argubly one of Australia's most spectacular National Parks. Far away from everything else, the reward is high when visiting this beautiful place. The landscape of Karijini is carved by spring-fed rivers and streams. Deep cool and moist canyons traverse an otherwise hot and dry country. Pools and waterfalls on the bottom bring some much needed refreshment when hiking into the canyons.
Bliss was photographed at the Fern Pool in the Dales Gorge, one of the most popular plunge pools in Karijini.
