The small fishing town of Lancelin, some 130km / 80mi north of Perth, owes most of it's fame to the forever changing sand dunes on it's eastern side. The bright white dunes attract mostly visitors looking for an adrenalin rush. Several operators organise tours on the dunes with anything from sand buggies and quads to 4WD tour busses. As a photographer it takes some effort to find dunes that aren't covered with tyre tracks. But if you do find them and when the light at dusk paints the sand with a soft pink, the place is magnificent.
