Poseidon's Table

Boca Tabla, Curaçao

Boca Tabla is a rock formation on Curaçao's rough north coast and is located within the Shete Boca National Park. Although 'boca' is an inlet, and 'shete' means seven, according to locals there are many more inlets in this area than just seven. Boca Tabla is the most famous inlet of them all. Rough seas and ever blowing easterly winds created a rough coastline along these shores of Curaçao. There are arches and caves created by the high crashing waves and the landscape here changes continuously.

Poseidon's Table was photographed at dusk when the blue tones together with the shap, jagged, rocks create an almost eerie atmosphere.
