Cape Range National Park is located on the west coast of Western Australia close to Exmouth. The Ningaloo Reef fringes the Cape Range Peninsula and is with lentgh of 260km / 160 mi the longest fringing reef of Australia. While the eastern Great Barrier Reef enjoys greater fame, the Ningaloo Reef is hardly less spectacular. The region covered by both the Cape Range National Park and Ningaloo Marine Park are abundant with life and some rare species visit the area regularly.
Fading Away was photographed on the coast of Cape Range National Park. At the end of an otherwise grim and gray day, the clouds opened up on the horizon and spectacular colours filled the sky.
