Spinifex Hills

Purnululu National Park, more widely known as the Bungle Bungles, is located in the remote Kimberley region of north western Australia.  Purnululu is of both great geological and cultural value. Many important spiritual sites of the traditional owners people are located within the park's borders. Purnululu was listed as an UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2003.

Spinifex Hills was photographed at the Kungkalahayi lookout in Purnululu National Park. It's a view of the western escarpment of the Bungle Bungle range and surrounding hills covered in spinifex.
