Rotterdam Skyline

Rotterdam is probably the only city in the Netherlands that really feels like a big city. Although it isn't even the biggest city in the country, it's skyline across the river Maas might suggest a rather impressive metropolis.

Yesterday I shot this panorama. The image on the top is only the right half of the full panorama that's placed below. Images with such an aspect ratio are always a pain to display online properly, so there's the crop for a tiny little bit more detail. Originally this is a 142 megapixel image with a native print size on it's long side of 218cm at 300dpi. I'm amazed my nearly 5 year old Mac actually managed to stitch this one :).

Oh and as usual there was a very impressive sky at sunset just behind me on the left. Of course that was not the direction in which I was shooting. After several shoots with amazing skies in the wrong direction, it's really time for luck to turn into my favour again. Please ;).
